Wim Van Thienen was appointed Executive Vice President Asia Pacific in April 2024.

Since joining BekaertDeslee in 1996, Wim has held various leadership roles, including R&D Director at the former company Bekaert Textiles and Project Manager at the startup of Bekaert Textiles in China in 2002. Most recently, he served as General Manager of BekaertDeslee China.  

Wim holds a master's degree in textile engineering from Ghent University, Belgium.
